Account Information

When you create an Ameenah account, we may collect information such as your name, email address, authentication information, profile photo, profile description, languages, interests, and other information you choose to add to your profile.

Location Information

To use Ameenah, users are required to provide their current city and country. Ameenah does not require users to provide their exact home address.

Users may optionally add cities or countries where they have previously lived or traveled. This information helps other users understand their local knowledge and travel experience.

Bookings and Connections

When you use Ameenah to request or provide a meeting, advice, recommendation, or itinerary, we may process information related to that request, including dates, availability, booking status, and the users involved.

Messages

Ameenah provides messaging functionality so users can communicate in connection with the service. Messages and related information may be stored and processed to provide this functionality.

Reviews and Recommendations

If you submit a review, recommendation, travel tip, or similar content, we collect and store the information you provide and associate it with the relevant activity or profile where applicable.

Device and Notification Information

If you enable push notifications, Ameenah may process device identifiers and push notification tokens needed to deliver notifications. You can manage notification permissions through your device settings.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to provide and operate Ameenah, create and manage accounts and profiles, connect travelers with hosts, enable bookings and communication, provide recommendations and travel-related features, send service and account notifications, maintain safety and platform integrity, troubleshoot problems, and improve the application.

3. How Information Is Shared

Information you choose to make part of your Ameenah profile may be visible to other Ameenah users. Information may also be shared with service providers when necessary to operate the application, such as hosting, database, email, notification, and other technical service providers.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Ameenah, its users, or others.

4. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the service and for legitimate operational, security, and legal purposes.

Users can request deletion of their Ameenah account through the account deletion functionality available in the application. When an account is deleted, the user's account and profile information are deleted. Certain records, such as booking or review records, may be retained where necessary for platform integrity, record keeping, safety, dispute prevention, or legal obligations.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

Ameenah is not intended for children under the minimum age permitted to use the service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

You can also update certain profile information directly in the application and manage device permissions through your device settings.
